I have been considering script scanning for some time to streamline the process of claim checking and help with record storage space. I have been hesitating as could imagine many pitfalls with the process. We have been using ScriptCapture now for three months and I am very happy! The time invested in claim reconciliation has been reduced considerably, not to mention the obvious benefit of not needing to store any paper prescription records. No sorting of scripts and no separation of S8 records is appreciated by dispensary staff. Surprising to me though has been the unforeseen benefits of being able to quickly recall prescription records whenever needed (rather than searching through boxes of records), and also the ability to easily know what prescriptions are missing including UG, resulting in us having a much more accurate script history record. Andrew and Chemist POS has been very receptive to ideas on improvements to the program. This gives me confidence that the program will continue to evolve over time. We have just signed up the use the program at our other two stores.
